Congratulations to our winning national team on their success!
The AFA is extremely proud of the performance of our women's team in Korea, to win the APAC tournament this year in conjunction with WFCQ, to qualify for the world championships to be held in Czech Republic in December this year. The team played very well and looked clearly the best drilled and dominant team for the tournament.
We also congratulate Leith Woods and Narelle Kihm on being selected in the All Stars team, and Narelle for also being named Player of the Tournament.
There were a number of young and new players who all contributed to the teams performance, which can only add to the teams continuing growth and improvement.
Well done also to our coaching staff led by Juerg Kihm and Neil Anderes.
Team Managers Brian and Rochelle Keogh did a great job organising the tour and allowed all the players and coaching staff to focus on their own roles. Thank you both.
Our thanks also to the group of helpers and supporters who travelled to support the team, we know your presence was much appreciated by all.
